Human Rights
Idasa has strong ties with many human rights organisations in South Africa. It has worked together with other civil society initiatives to promote a human rights culture and educate citizens about their rights. It has contributed to the development of human rights training materials and the incorporation of rights education in schools. Idasa’s work in this field is accomplished primarily through the Budget Information Service, the Africa Governance Centre, the Southern African Migration Project, and the Community and Citizen Empowerment Programme
