Cape Town Democracy Centre (CTDC) now houses Lobby Books, 6 Spin Street Restaurant as well as the newly renovated Democracy Centre conference venue.
Lobby Books – Cape Town’s newest independent book store – offers a great selection of engaging fiction and non-fiction books on a wide range of topics, while specialising in titles from and about Africa.
The adjoining 6 Spin Street restaurant has been opened by Robert Mulder, formerly of the renowned Rozenhof Restaurant in Kloof St, Cape Town, and offers fine dining in the city centre.
The Idasa Democracy Centre conference venue offers two elegant meeting rooms, one able to accommodate up to 60 people, the other for a more intimate round-table discussion.
The Cape Town Democracy Centre provides an inviting space where Capetonians of all walks of life can interact and engage with each other – eat, drink, talk, read, listen and think – about various issues that face us all as citizens or our young democracy.
